This month I am taking part in a month of drawing, posting one image per day. Today I have spent the afternoon up the Mynydd Tyle-Coch trying to capture the expanse of the valleys below. The top image looks toward Treorchy, the main town near my home. The second image from the very top of the mountain is looking towards the Bwlch.
I love the view of the valleys from these positions, and in my drawings which are using sepia ink and a tiny bit of white gouache I am really trying to depict the space and depth that the valleys possess.
My companion this afternoon was Daisy - a beautiful border collie, who may be the subject of a future sketch!
