What is giclée?
Giclée is the highest standard of fine art reproduction, utilising high quality prints and papers. The giclée reproductions of my paintings available to buy are all limited editions, personally signed and numbered by me.
I use a heavyweight PermaJet baryta paper which provides a rich, smooth satin finish which I think really suits the fine details of my paintings. The inks are Epson UltraChrome HD, and I am told the prints will be lightfast for 100 years!
Giclée (it's pronounced zhee-clay, by the way) gives art-buyers a lower-cost alternative to original paintings, and allows more people to enjoy works that have already been sold. Of course, nothing can really replace the full experience of an original oil painting, but giclée offers the next best alternative.
